Global Squad 2013 Recap

The Global Squad had its best summer yet in 2013. We had 43 players travel to the United States from 19 different countries. Our players were then divided into four different squads to train, practice, and compete against some of the best high school basketball talent in the U.S.

Our rising seniors, the Gold Dragons (A) started the summer off by nearly beating Team Takeover, the #1 ranked AAU team in the country. When camp ended the A-Team posted a final record of 12-6. This included a championship in Washington D.C. and a semi-finals appearance in Baltimore, MD.

The Gold Dragons (B) had a tough time overcoming injuries and only won four games. However, five players were not only able to get recruited, but one got placed at one of the best academic D-III programs in the country.

Red Dragons (A) & (B), consisted of our youngest players in 8th, 9th, and 10th grade. Recruiting was not the #1 objective for this group. They were here to improve their game and learn what it takes to eventually play at the college level.
