Queens College (NY) signed Keenan Gorski, a 6’4 multidimensional guard out of Australia. Keenan possess a variety of weapons and can do a little bit of everything on offense. Keenan’s length and athleticism gives him a chance to become an elite defender and a standout two-way player.
Queens College is a quality NCAA Division-II basketball program. They come into this season focused on getting over a heartbreaking loss in the first-round of the East Coast Conference 2016-17 playoffs. Queens returns an experienced roster and with the addition of Keenan they could have enough fire power to compete for a conference championship.
Keenan joins Queens after a very impressive Global Squad season. He showed great leadership and took on a role as the go-to scorer. Keenan guided his Global Squad team to a 7-and-1 record and finished 2nd in the Crossover Hoops Global Challenge.
Keenan’s best game of the season came against Basketball 2 The Limit. He racked up 27 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists, and shot 4-for-9 from three. Keenan had another offensive explosion with 23 points, 6 boards, and shot 8-for-17 from the field against Crown Basketball.
Keenan’s success at Global Squad and anticipated success at Queens College comes as no surprise following his high school career in Australia. The national spotlight shone bright on Keenan when he was named a Top-25 Player in Victoria. During the 2016-17 CBL season, Keenan led his team in scoring with 24.3 points per game. He was also named MVP after averaging 30 points per game in the finals.
Now Keenan will be taking on a new basketball challenge more than 10,000 miles from home in New York. Global Squad cannot wait to share many updates of this talented baller over the coming years.
